Nanodropper hires Brooke Spencer as Operations Manager
Brooke brings her extensive operations experience, educational background, and leadership to the Nanodropper team as the company continues expanding its reach throughout all 50 states, and beyond. The Nanodropper Adaptor twists on to multi-use eyedrop bottles, reducing the size of eyedrops to just what the eye can absorb. This reduces medication waste, decreases cost for patients and clinics, and smaller drops have been shown to reduce local and systemic side effect risk.
“Nanodropper has partner clinics in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands, and nonprofit relationships that span multiple continents,” Brooke says. “I’m excited to help leverage this network to bring better access to eyecare for patients around the world.”
About Brooke
Brooke’s sprawling educational background has mirrored her many interests, most of them involving the outdoors, personal growth, and helping others. She graduated with her B.A. in Communication (minors in gender studies and business management) and Master of Public Administration (concentration in public leadership and management) from Florida Gulf Coast University.
Brooke was born in Atlantic City, NJ, and raised in Naples, FL, where she grew up learning to love the outdoors and service. Her strong work ethic began at an early age as a competitive three-sport athlete, and she worked her way through college in the service industry, becoming a manager of a local restaurant at 20 years old.
She’s also a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, life and health coach, and a Wilderness First Responder. If you get caught out in the woods with Brooke, odds are you’re going to make it home safely. She’s led multiple expeditions to Machu Picchu and the Salkantay Trail in Peru. She hopes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro one day.
You may have noticed - Brooke shares a last name with Robbie, Nanodropper’s Marketing Manager! Robbie is Brooke’s brother, and couldn’t be more thrilled to have her join the team.
“She’s the most talented Spencer, and is the first person in our family to earn a Master’s degree,” Robbie says. “Brooke will bring fresh energy to every aspect of our company, and I’m really looking forward to seeing her impact.”
A passion for helping others
Early in her career, Brooke merged her passions with volunteer work at a nonprofit called Wellfit Girls, which offers fitness, leadership and empowerment programs for teen girls. After completing her studies, she ascended from volunteer all the way to Executive Director of Wellfit Girls in less than three years. She supported and spearheaded all aspects of the organization, including governance, marketing, finance, development, programming, and a youth advisory board that leveraged alumni to help guide the next generation of girls.
“I love that the company is mission-driven, and places a focus on patient benefit,” Brooke says. “Nanodropper’s partner clinic network is setting a new standard of care, and I’m looking forward to help grow that reach.”
